Our Team

Silvia Klein, Founder

About Me: Born and raised in rural Switzerland, I grew up in nature and being active was just part of life. Moving to New York in my early twenties had a significant influence on me. It shaped my values and beliefs but also introduced me to my Canadian husband. We moved to Ottawa with our two daughters in 2014. My background is in Marketing & Communication but Fitness has always been my passion. And yes, I love Chocolate!

Fitness Philosophy:

Make it fun! Building challenging yet sustainable, motivating fitness routine that makes you feel your best is the key to long-term success. My goal is it to create a personalized training solution that makes you want to come back for more, drives results and fits into your everyday life. When you are at powerhaus, it’s all about YOU.

Fitness Philosophy: Change doesn’t happen overnight. By setting attainable goals and continuously trying your best, you will be able to see and feel progress. Keeping your self accountable to stay on track is important, and I am here to help. Getting just 1% closer to your goal is still an improvement. It may take time, but step by step you will see change, physically and mentally.

Kait Clarke

Trainer Level 1

About me: I have had a passion for fitness since I was young, beginning with track and field in elementary school. However, my relationship with food and exercise has not always been as positive as it is today. After going through treatment for an eating disorder in my young teenage years, being introduced to strength training in my grade 11 fitness class was the best thing that ever happened to me. Feeling strong both physically and mentally changed everything for me and I knew I wanted to help others feel the same way.

Fitness Philosophy: You don’t have to sacrifice all of the things you love to improve your health. Let’s get you moving more and making small changes to your daily habits. Show yourself more compassion as getting started is the hardest part. My goal as a trainer is to create a supportive and comfortable environment for you to become the strongest version of yourself.

Qualifications:

Fitness & Health Promotion, Algonquin College
Certified Personal Trainer, Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CPT)
Graduate Diploma in Nutrition for Sport and Performance from Niagara College
